There's nothing quite like homemade applesauce! Leave it chunky or puree it until smooth - either way, it's simply delicious!

 4 organic apples (Ginger Gold, Braeburn, Golden Delicious, MacIntosh, Gala, Fuji)
 ¼ cup water
 cinnamon or pumpkin spice, to taste

Wash & peel apples. Add to large pot and add water.
Cook uncovered on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender. (Naturally softer apples such as Ginger Gold or Golden Delicious will cook up in 15 minutes, whereas firmer apples like Gala will take 20-25 minutes).

Add desired spice and mash with a potato masher or transfer to blender.

Enjoy warm or refrigerate for 3-4 days.
I love topping mine with ground flaxseed and toasted almonds!!
