It’s been a long journey to this point, but I am finally prepared to shift Heather’s Holistic Health Coaching into full-gear and put all of my education to good use! I want to share some very important details and updates so I can more effectively help you get healthy today.

  1. My primary marketing strategies are word of mouth and referrals from YOU!
    • I have intentionally continued sending out my newsletters, even while I was busy finishing classes and on maternity leave, so that I could stay in touch with the people who were most invested in my Mission for Nutrition.
    • The majority of all of my health coaching clients thus far have been subscribers or acquaintances of subscribers and I want to keep it that way!
  2. I will be seeing all clients virtually until further notice and my primary platforms are Skype and FaceTime.
    • During my final semester of classes, I was required to complete 10 Mock Client consultations via Skype, so I was able to develop an efficient system for running sessions virtually. Due to COVID-19 precautions (and juggling life with a 9-month old), I will be continuing with this format for the foreseeable future.
    • This also has been helpful for my clients, who can participate in sessions from the comfort of their home or office!
  3. I do not accept any forms of health insurance.
    • There are soooo many regulations and I prefer to keep things simple, personal, and efficient.
    • My pricing is comparable to other nutritionists in my area and I offer discounts for purchasing multiple sessions at once, since it reduces the time we have to spend discussing payment and allows us to just focus on nutrition!
    • I accept all credit/debit cards, checks, or cash. My Pricing Guide is listed below for your reference.
  4. My goal is to help you restore BALANCE to your body.
    • I believe in using whole foods, natural remedies, herbs, restorative sleep, physical activity, and supplements (when needed) to accomplish this goal.
    • The body is an incredible organism and given the proper nutrients, rest, and care, it can heal itself and has an innate tendency to restore balance.
  5. I recognize that every person is unique and comes to me with a complex and multi-dimensional health history.
    • Before I make ANY recommendations, I first LISTEN and UNDERSTAND what brought you to your current state of health. Guided by this background information, I can then efficiently recommend the best diet and lifestyle practices for your individual needs.
    • For this reason, most Initial Consultations last around 2 hours and come paired with at least 1 follow-up session. I will provide some basic recommendations during the Initial Consultation, but after I synthesize your personal goals and all of the details from the session, I will meet with you again to begin implementing your health coaching plan.

Who is my Ideal Client?

  • Criteria #1: Someone who is motivated to improve their health, diet, or lifestyle
  • Criteria #2: Someone who is willing and able to implement and follow through with dietary and lifestyle changes

A health coach is similar to an athletic coach. The athlete is eager to excel in their chosen sport so he or she enlists the help of a trained professional to teach them techniques, strategies, and habits. The athlete then puts in the time, practice, and exercise to meet his or her goal of excelling in the chosen sport.

An ideal health coaching client is someone who is ready to be intentional about seeking out healthier food options, investing in the proper gear (e.g., a knife, cutting board, blender, water filter, and glass water bottle), spending an extra hour in the kitchen, and setting aside time each day to exercise.

If you or someone you know could benefit from coaching from a nutritionist who is passionate about health, please share this blog post with them. If you have any questions, you can always send me an email: Heather@HeathersHolisticHealthCoaching.com

I will be accepting a limited number of clients at a time, to allow me to give each person the time and attention they need to meet their health goals.

I already have one client signed up for the next 18 years – and he’s been trying new fruits & veggies every single week since we’ve started working together!!! I’d say this coaching relationship is off to a fantastic start 😉
