Yields8 ServingsPrep Time30 minsCook Time45 minsTotal Time1 hr 15 mins

Maple syrup, cinnamon, apples, and tender, buttery oats. Enough said!

For the Apples:
6 organic apples, cored and thinly sliced
 4 tsp lemon juice
 1 tsp cinnamon
 1/2 tsp allspice or cloves
 1/2 tsp nutmeg
 1/4 tsp cardamom
For the Crumble:
2 cups rolled oats (not instant)
1/4 cup pure maple syrup or honey
6 tbsp flour (brown rice flour for gluten-free)
 5 tbsp organic butter, softened
1

Preheat oven to 375 F.

2

Combine spices (in a glass Mason jar or container) to create a spice blend. If you only have cinnamon, that's ok too! Use any warm, autumn spices.

3

Place sliced apples in an 8x11 Pyrex glass baking dish. Sprinkle the lemon juice and 1 tsp. of spice blend over apples and mix to coat evenly.

4

In a medium bowl, combine the oats, maple syrup, flour, butter, and the remaining spice blend. Stir (or use your hands!) until well blended.

5

Spoon topping over apples. Bake for 45 minutes.

6

Serve warm or cold! It also makes a fantastic breakfast!
